What did Bush do as vice president?

Bush was a very loyal vice president to Reagan, particularly during the time when Reagan was recuperating from the assassination attempt by John Hinckley Jr. He had weekly lunches with the president and worked on key task forces. He traveled to many foreign countries and further developed an expertise in foreign policy.
