What member of Polk’s cabinet later lived to the age of ninety?

George Bancroft, a politician, was born in 1800 and did not pass away until 1891. He served as Polk’s secretary of navy, during which time he helped create the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis. He is considered a great historian, particularly for his multivolume set entitled A History of the United States.
