What was his early education?

Cleveland first attended school at age eleven in Fayetteville, New York. He attended the Clinton Liberal Institute and the Fayetteville Institute. He loved debate and had planned on attending college at nearby Hamilton College, where his brother William was a student. However, his father’s untimely death in 1853 stymied those plans.
