Early Life and Family

What was his early education?

Harding studied at a one-room school-house near his home in Caledonia. He entered Ohio Central College in 1880, in Iberia, Ohio, and graduated two years later in 1882. While at college, he helped form a college newspaper called the Iberia Spectator. The experience endeared him to newspapers and journalism.
