Which future presidents responded to the Alien and Sedition Acts in state resolutions?

Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, the future third and fourth presidents, both vehemently opposed the Alien and Sedition Acts. Jefferson drafted the Kentucky Resolutions, while Madison drafted the Virginia Resolution. Both documents asserted that state governments had the power to reject federal laws that were unconstitutional or encroached upon state authority.
