Who was his vice president? |
His vice president was Richard M. Nixon from California, who had served as a member of the U.S. House and Senate. Nixon served as vice president for all of Eisenhower’s two terms. He later lost the presidency in a close race with Democratic candidate John F. Kennedy. Nixon retired from politics for a time, but returned with a vengeance, winning the presidency in 1968 and again in 1972.
