Why did Daniel Webster eventually resign from Tyler’s Cabinet too?

Webster resigned from Tyler’s Cabinet because the president continued to support the annexation of Texas. Webster opposed the idea of annexation in part because it would be a large slave state. Tyler replaced Webster with Abel P. Upshur, and later John C. Calhoun.
