Where do Hindus live today? Any estimates of numbers available?

India is home to the vast majority (about 95%, over 950 million) of the world’s nearly one billion Hindus. Other significant minority populations have Hindu communities in more than half a dozen other lands. Almost twenty-four million Hindus are Nepalese. As many as eighteen million live in Bangladesh, some three million in Pakistan, nearly five million in Indonesia, perhaps 1.2 million in the United States, approaching a million and a half in each Malaysia, and a shade over half a million in South Africa and England. Virtually every nation on Earth now has representatives of Hinduism among its citizenry. Hindus are about 600 million fewer than Muslims, half the total global population of Christians, and somewhere between two and three times that of Buddhism.
