How does ethanol differ from gasohol?

Ethanol (E85) is a mixture of 85 percent ethyl alcohol and 15 percent gasoline. It can only be used in flexible fuel vehicles (FFVs). Flexible fuel vehicles are designed to run on gasoline, ethanol (E85), or any mixture of the two.
