What are the most common tapeworm infections in humans?

Tapeworms, members of the class Cestoda, have long, flat bodies in which there is a linear series of sets of reproductive organs. Each set or segment is called a proglottid.

Beef tapeworm (Taenia saginata) Eating rare beef; most common of all tapeworms in humans
Pork tapeworm (Taenia solium) Eating rare pork; less common than beef tapeworm
Fish tapeworm (Diphyllobothrium latum) Eating rare or poorly cooked fish; fairly common in the Great Lakes region of the United States
