What are the three bones in the middle ear?

The three bones in the middle ear are the malleus (hammer), the incus (anvil), and the stapes (stirrup). The bones look somewhat like the objects for which they are named. These three tiny bones in the middle ear bridge the eardrum and the inner ear, transmitting sound vibrations.
