What is a USB port? |
The Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectors first appeared on computers in the late 1990s. It has become the most widely used interface to attach peripherals, such as mice, printers and scanners, external storage drives, digital cameras, and other devices to a computer. Unlike older serial ports and parallel ports, USB ports are easy-to-reach and can easily be plugged in—even while the computer is in use.
