What is the newest method of tagging a dog? |
There is now a computer-age dog tag. A microchip is implanted painlessly between the dog’s shoulder blades. The semiconductor carries a 10-digit code, which can be read by a scanner. When the pet is found, the code can be phoned into a national database to locate the owner. The microchip can store license number, medical condition, and the owner’s address and phone number.
