Renewable and Alternative Energy
Which states generate the highest percentage of electricity from wind?
The United States was able to generate more than 25,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity from the wind in 2008. This supplied an estimated 73 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity which was enough to power about seven million average American homes. Minnesota and Iowa both got over seven percent of their electricity from wind energy.
