Which two gems contain the mineral corundum?

Both rubies and sapphires contain the mineral corundum (Al2O3). Chromium (Cr) ions replace small amounts of aluminum in rubies giving them their characteristic red color. In sapphires, iron (Fe) and titanium (Ti) ions replace some of the aluminum producing the characteristic blue color.
