Who prepared the first weather map?

The first weather map was prepared by Francis Galton (1822–1911) in 1862. His initial map was prepared by requesting detailed information about the weather in the month of December 1861 from weather stations throughout the British Isles. He plotted the data he collected, drawing the world’s first weather map.
