What town was named after Twining? |
A New Mexico copper mining town was named Twining because the New Jersey banker financed it in the early 1900s. After his conviction for embezzlement, Twining sold his interest in the town. The town of Twining, located in Taos County, is a ghost town now; a ski resort exists on the former site.
