Who was L. A. Nixon?

Dr. Lawrence Aaron Nixon was an African American physician who lived from 1883 to 1966. He was a founding member of the El Paso chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) who remained a resident of El Paso for the bulk of his life.
