Who was Miller in Miller v. California? |
Marvin Miller was the owner of a mail-order business based in California that trafficked in pornography. Miller mailed catalogs that advertised several adult-oriented books, including “Intercourse,” “Man-Woman,” “Sex Orgies Illustrated,” and “An Illustrated History of Pornography.” He also advertised a film entitled Marital Intercourse. Miller mailed the brochures to families in Newport Beach, California, that did not request them.
