How hot can the human body get and still survive?

University-level research has included experiments that show that the human body can withstand a temperature of about 250°F (121°C) for up to 15 minutes. A more extreme case in which a professor conducted the research on himself showed that a healthy person could withstand 364°F (184°C) for one minute.
