What are the most extreme barometer readings ever measured?

On December 29, 2004, a barometer reading of 32.25 inches of mercury was taken at Tonsontsengel, Mongolia—a world record. At the other extreme, a reading of 25.63 inches was recorded on October 12, 1979, in the Philippines within the eye of Typhoon Tip.
