What is the order of the colors in a rainbow?

The colors in a rainbow are those of a light spectrum: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, with the warm colors (red, orange, yellow) on the outside (farthest from the ground) and the cool colors (blue, indigo, violet) closer to the ground.
