Why do the Denver Broncos have a particular advantage at Invesco Field at Mile High |
After the original Mile High Stadium was demolished in 2001, the Denver Broncos moved to Invesco Field to play football. Here, as with other teams in Denver, such as the Rockies, players have a distinct advantage over visiting teams because their lungs are already accustomed to the higher altitude. Fortunately, the human body can quickly adapt, and if a visiting athlete is able to arrive in the Denver area a couple days before a game, he or she should be able to play on a par with the locals.
