57. I posted assuming that the Google Books settlement on fair use with the Authors Guild would signal the go-ahead in Google’s strategy. At the time of writing, the issue of copyright infringement is still being fought over by lawyers. Notwithstanding legal battles, with the coming of the European and Digital Public Library of America projects, my point, I believe, is still pertinent. Sooner, rather than later, facts will find us - if we want them to!
