Over the centuries, the name Good Samaritan has become synonymous with anyone who does good deeds. Numerous organizations are named after the Good Samaritan in Jesus’ parable, including Franklin Graham’s ministry for people around the world living in poverty, “Samaritan’s Purse,” and “The Samaritan Center” in Syracuse, New York, an interfaith ministry that feeds food-insecure people 365 days a year.
