The Bible says little about Jesus as a boy. A pseudepigraphic gospel called the Infancy Gospel of Thomas recounts stories of Jesus’ childhood. As a boy, Jesus tried out his divine powers. In a fit of peevishness, Jesus cursed a neighborhood boy and caused him to wither into a corpse. When the boy’s parents complained to Mary and Joseph about Jesus’ behavior, Jesus afflicted the boy’s parents with blindness. Later, Jesus resurrected the boy, but the boy’s parents remained blind.
