Old TestamentThe Pentateuch |
The Israelites did not have to follow any instructions to be protected from the first nine plagues. What made the tenth plague different? |
The tenth plague was a grand finale. It was the most heart wrenching and tragic of all the plagues because it involved the death of the young. The tenth plague was the plague that got the Israelites out of Egypt. Accordingly, God told Moses and Aaron to mark the event as the beginning of the Israelite year. This feast would be known as the Passover.
