The author of Joshua refers to the Book of Jasher. What is that?

The passage reads, “Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.” (KJV, Joshua 10:13) The Book of Jasher was a collection of poetry honoring Israel’s military prowess. The book no longer exists.
