Was the Geneva Bible popular?

Yes. At least 140 editions of it were printed. It was the favorite translation for the home and continued to be so for decades. The Geneva Bible was the Bible of William Shakespeare, John Bunyan, the Puritans, and the Pilgrims. It was the first Bible taken to America.
