The Bible and Archaeology

What are some of these modern-day collectibles/artifacts?

One popular item is the nativity scene. Dating back to at least the thirteenth century, nativity scenes (or “nats,” as they are affectionately known by some collectors), or crèches, commemorate the birth of Jesus. Nativity scenes can be made out of almost anything, and be of almost any size. Figures in the scenes at least depict Mary and Jesus. More elaborate scenes depict Joseph, shepherds, wise men, livestock, and angels.
