What happened to Ezekiel once he received his commission from God?

God swept him up and bore him away, and placed him among the exiles. Ezekiel was in shock from the experience. Stunned, he sat among the people for seven days. Also, God rendered Ezekiel mute unless he was prophesying. Later, when Jerusalem was invaded by the Babylonians, Ezekiel regained his power of speech.
