What have researchers found out about life in biblical times based on items related to death?

Sometimes the most telling information about life is found in the arena of death. In the past century and a half, researchers have found literal treasures in Egyptian tombs, and figurative treasures in terms of information. While burial customs in Israel were not as elaborate as those in Egypt, researchers have nonetheless deciphered clues about life in ancient Israel. For example, much information has been gleaned from ossuaries.
