The Bible and Archaeology

Why is the Arch of Titus important to biblical studies?

The arch is important because of the wealth of information conveyed in the carvings on the sides. Scenes carved into the marble show Romans carrying off treasures from the temple. Depictions include the looting of the lampstand (menorah) and trumpets.
