What item bearing a Christian symbol can be found only in a few areas of the world? |
The fairy crosses. Usually, these small staurolite crystal formations are about one inch long. One characteristic of this particular crystal is that it is in the shape of a cross. Lore has it that these rocks were formed when Jesus died. The woodland fairies cried when they learned that Jesus had been crucified. When their tears fell to earth, they turned into stone crosses. These formations are found in small areas of the United States and Europe.
