New TestamentPaul’s Letters |
What were Paul’s views on death? |
Paul looked forward to death so he could receive his heavenly reward. Still, he acknowledged he had work to do on earth: “For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.” (KJV, Philippians 1:23–24)
