Paul’s Letters

When did Paul write the second letter to Timothy?

Paul wrote this letter of encouragement to Timothy around 67 C.E. By that point, Paul and Timothy had developed a deep friendship that is evidenced by Paul’s salutation: “To Timothy, my beloved child.” (NRSV, II Timothy 1:2) Paul wrote this, his last known letter, from prison in Rome. Timothy was still in Ephesus.
