Old TestamentThe Pentateuch |
When did the Israelites first worship using the laws God gave to Moses on Mount Sinai? |
It was nine months after they arrived at Mount Sinai. Moses set up the Tabernacle and all its implements himself. He did everything just as God commanded him. When everything was set up, the glory of the God filled the Tabernacle. The pillar of cloud that God used to guide the Israelites covered the Tabernacle. When God wanted the Israelites to pick up and move, the cloud moved from above the Tabernacle. In that way, the Israelites began to worship God as they travelled to the Promised Land.
