What is a Schedule A?

Schedule A is used in conjunction with Form 1040, which enables you to report all of your itemized deductions for the tax year, including medical and dental expenses, taxes paid to state authorities, city taxes, interest paid on loans (like mortgage interest), and charitable gifts, etc.
