Early Career

After finishing law school, where did he go to practice law?

Nixon returned home to Whittier, where he gained admission to the California bar in 1937. He first practiced commercial law with the Whittier-based firm of Wingert and Bewley. He later helped open up a different branch of the firm and later became a partner in Bewley, Knoop, and Nixon.
