What amendment was added to the Constitution during Taft’s administration?

The necessary number of thirty-six states ratified the 16th Amendment and it became a part of the Constitution in February 1913 before Taft left office. The amendment provides: “The Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”
