What college classmates of Polk also became prominent in politics?

William Henry Haywood Jr., John Y. Mason, George Dromgoole, and William Dunn Moseley all went to college with Polk and had political careers. Haywood served as a U.S. senator for North Carolina. Mason served as the U.S. secretary of the navy for both President John Tyler and Polk and also served as Polk’s attorney general. Drom-goole served in the U.S. House of Representatives for Virginia. Moseley became the first governor of Florida in 1845.
