What letters did Adams publish that attracted attention?

He wrote a series of essays entitled “Letters of Publicola” that were published in a Boston newspaper. The essays defended the American system of government and disagreed with some of Thomas Paine’s theories in his The Rights of Man (1791). The essays attracted the attention of prominent Federalists and led many conservatives to support Adams in his early political career.
