Who was Fillmore’s attorney general?

John J. Crittenden, the former governor of Kentucky, served as Fillmore’s United States attorney general. Crittenden previously had served in that capacity for Whig president William Henry Harrison. Crittenden later served in Congress in both the House and Senate.
