What are the advantages and disadvantages of geothermal power? |
Geothermal energy is a renewable resource that is mostly emission and pollution-free. Costs to operate a geothermal power plant are relatively inexpensive. It has the potential to produce power consistently, unlike wind and solar power. Currently, drilling for geothermal energy is expensive. Since rocks lose heat over time, new sites and wells have to be drilled.
