What is the most massive star?

The Pistol Star is both the brightest and most massive star known. Located 25,000 light years away in the area of the constellation Sagittarius, this young (one- to three-million-year-old) star is as bright as ten million suns and may have weighed two hundred times the mass of the sun at one point in its young life.
